The method
The name is the order we work in.
Dust falls. So a room gets cleaned from its highest surface down to its floor, and the floor is always last — otherwise everything you knock loose up top lands on ground you already mopped.

Fans, vents, and light fixtures
Fan blades wiped edge-on so the dust lifts off instead of scattering. Vent covers, and the glass inside the light fixtures — not just the outside of the shade.

Door frames, molding, cabinet tops
The ledges nobody sees standing up: crown molding, the tops of door frames and cabinet runs, the top edge of the fridge.

Glass, mirrors, switch plates
Mirrors and interior glass streak-free. Light switches, door handles, and pulls — the surfaces every hand in the house touches.

Counters, sinks, appliance fronts
Counters cleared and wiped, backsplash degreased, sinks and fixtures polished dry so there are no water spots. Wood cabinets get polished, not just wiped.

Vacuumed, then mopped, working out of the room toward the door. Because nothing above it is still dropping dust, the floor stays clean.
Why the day runs late
A half-finished house is worse than an untouched one.
Most crews book a fixed window and leave when it closes, finished or not. Ours runs to about 9:00 PM, which means a house that turns out to be a bigger job than expected still gets completed the same day — and an office gets cleaned after everyone in it has gone home.

Who shows up
Karen. Same as it has been since 2005.
Top 2 Bottom opened in March 2005 doing new-construction cleanup and a handful of houses. When the building work dried up, Karen moved into offices to keep the doors open, then came back to homes. That is 21 years in the same county, through a recession, without changing the name on the van.
It is still a family company. Karen quotes every job and works them; Alexus handles scheduling and the phone. You will not get a stranger from a call centre, and you will not get a different crew every visit.

Where we work
Polk County, and a little past it.
We are on Valley Hill Drive in South Lakeland, so most of the county is a short run. Plant City is just over the Hillsborough line and we have served it for years.
